In terms of naming client projects, we label them according to a tier system. We used to have four tiers, but now we have three.

The Three Tiers:

1. Platinum

  • Packages that cost $20,000 or more
  • Clients that are household names like Nike, Nu Skin, and Adidas
    • Not all clients with household names are paying for packages that cost $20,000 or more, but we still classify them as Platinum clients because they have that potential.

For naming Platinum client projects in Basecamp, write Clients 1 – Platinum: name of the company

Example: Clients 1 – Platinum: Nike

2. Gold

  • Packages that cost between $10,000 to $20,000

For naming Gold client projects in Basecamp, write Clients 2 – Gold: name of the company

Example: Clients 2 – Gold: Tuft & Needle

3. Quickstart

  • Packages that cost between $500 to $5,000
  • Starts with simple packages like Facebook Dollar a Day

For naming Quickstart client projects in Basecamp, write Clients 4 – Quickstart: name of the company

Example: Clients 4 – Quickstart: Closetbox

We used to have four tiers with Silver included, but we’re not using that anymore. At some point, we’ll get rid of it in the naming, but for now, Quickstart is #4.

We sometimes create Basecamp projects for Power Hour with Dennis. For all those other projects, label them as Special Projects: name of the company.

For naming such client projects in Basecamp, write Special Projects: name of the company

Example: Special Projects: Tony Robbins or Special Projects: Tony Robbins Power Hour

Sometimes, we might create one for a specific event, such as PHX Workshop Attendee: Sunday Vidal.

We create projects for people who come to our workshops, so they can get our courses.
